Summary

SPEAR’S Director of Marketing is a multi-talented individual who is ready to lead our marketing efforts, with a focus on leading the strategic marketing vision and design aesthetic for our company, as well as doing the graphic design. Creative responsibilities include conceiving, developing and designing innovative creative materials that will drive, elevate and evolve our brand.in   Skills in copywriting that captures the SPEAR voice.  This position will also include creating and carrying out the overall marketing strategy.  In addition, this position will plan, direct and coordinate the marketing, public relations and advertising functions, including, but not limited to, digital marketing, company website, blog, and Social Media channels.  Provide guidance to all departments to insure coordination and cross-functional support for all marketing initiatives.

 

Organization Structure and Interfaces  

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Primary interfaces:  CEO, COO, Director of business development, Physician Liaison, Clinical Directors, physical therapists, program directors.

 

Success Factors

Creative Design

  • Have a strategic marketing plan within 45 days
  • Carry out that plan in the next 30 days
  • Create on-demand print and digital design edits to existing marketing collateral within 3 days of request
  • Concept and produce the layout, design and copywriting for new print and digital marketing collateral as needed, while meeting SPEAR’s branding messages and guidelines
  • Develop & design all SPEAR promo items and apparel within 1 month of request
  • Manage development, design and updating of all SPEAR print material, promo items and apparel within 1 month prior to a new facility launch
  • Create and maintain SPEAR Digital Asset Library (video/photo)
  • Oversee design and production of office external & internal signage, awards & press display

 

Communications:

  • Create and manage copy for all print and digital materials, including press releases
  • Monthly e-newsletter development & distribution
  • Creation and design of quarterly internal SPEAR newsletters
  • Add newly hired PT’s to SPEAR website within 1 week of start date and other regular website maintenance through CMS (news, press, job postings) as necessary
  • Create and oversee a designated social media team and social media content calendar to manage activity on all channels

               - Facebook: Minimum of 3 posts/week

               - Twitter: Minimum of 3 posts/week

               - Instagram: Minimum of 4 posts/month

               - Linked In: Minimum of 4 posts/month

               - Blog: Minimum 2 posts/month

 

Project Management:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of all marketing material and promotional items
  • Hiring photographer/videographer when necessary to maximize promo opportunities
  • Establish streamlined internal ordering process for all print materials and promo items
  • Determines and manages production schedule and always communicates timely, but realistic timelines, for artwork requests
  • Determines project content by brainstorming to development of art and copy materials—sometimes original, other times drafted by team members
  • Obtains team and executive approval by presenting final layouts, collecting and making feedback edits
  • Vendor management
  • Hold weekly tactical meetings with Director of Business Development to review project lists

 

Financial Analysis:

  • Determine budget for all marketing projects for CEO approval
  • Forecast an ROI for all marketing projects
  • Ensure all programs deliver required ROI and meet success benchmarks

 

Requirements

  • Four-year Business Administration degree with demonstrated experience in the following areas: Social Media, E-Marketing, Strategic Marketing
  • Marketing program development and tracking/quantifying program ROI
  • Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in a marketing department
  • Knowledge of interactive marketing and marketing strategy
  • Vendor relationships
  • A+ presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
